SPX Unveils New SmartLab

St. Pius X Catholic School to unveil new SmartLab funded by the GEER Assistance to Private Schools Grant Program

Dallas, Tx., (October 12, 2023) – St. Pius X Catholic School, a Catholic educational institution located in far east Dallas, is excited to announce the unveiling of its state-of-the-art SmartLab, made possible through the generous funding provided by the GEER Assistance to Private Schools (GAPS) Grant Program. This innovative addition to our campus represents a significant step forward in enhancing the learning experience for our students. The unveiling of the SmartLab will take place on November 12, 2023, at the school’s open house. The lab is a dynamic and multifunctional learning space designed to empower students with 21st-century skills. The GAPS Grant Program, an initiative dedicated to supporting private schools like St. Pius, has enabled SPX to create an environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning.

The Governor's Emergency Education Relief Fund (GEER) Assistance to Private Schools (GAPS) grant program was authorized by the Office of the Governor (OOG) to provide funding to non-public schools to address COVID-19 related activities associated with safely reopening schools, continuing instruction, addressing learning loss, promoting school safety, and supporting educational technology.
